First Students exists to know the Gospel, grow in the Gospel, and go out in our community with the Gospel.
We believe that teenagers are going through the most transformational, informative, and impacting years of their lives. Between hormones changing, difficulty in school, and so many other issues, life can be extremely difficult. While we realize this is the parent's primary role, we desire to come along side you and your student with the intentions of pointing them Christ, studying the Word of God, and living out their faith.
We offer several different monthly resources to assist you and your students:
Sunday School is an intimate time discussing the Bible and playing ping pong
Wednesday Worships are weekly nights to hang out, sing, pray, read the Bible, and apply it to our lives
Once a month, we have a hangout and/or missions event to build community and serve Franklin & FBCF (such as bowling, ice skating, SkyZone, movie nights, serving meals, visiting nursing homes, etc.)
Once a year, we'll have a summer retreat to intensively study the Bible and refocus on Christ
We'll also participate in various events throughout the year that are designed to deepen your student's faith (D-Now, Intensity's, Summer at the Fields, etc.)
We hope that you will entrust your student with us and allow us to assist you in deepening your student's faith.
Information regarding events can be found below.
Winter Retreat (Jan 17-20, 2020)
Winter Retreat is going to be a great experience for anyone involved in First Students to hang out, get away from the every-day distractions in Franklin, and grow in their relationship with God. Our goal this weekend is to have fun with each other, but above all, we want to become mature in Christ. We will be traveling to Helen, GA to stay in a cabin named "Big Timber." Here, students will be able to chill at the cabin, play some games inside/outside, go venture into downtown Helen with leaders, take a hike, and other stuff. It's going to be a ton of fun, and your student needs to be a part of it! Our leaders are excited to spend the weekend growing closer in small groups and digging deeper in what we're talking about in our sessions.

D-NOW (March 13-15, 2020)
D-Now (also known as Disciple Now) is a weekend-long event where several churches in the West Georgia area come together to have fun, sing praise, and dive into God's Word. It spans from Friday night to Sunday morning, and it's one of the best events that a student can be a part of. We hope and pray that this weekend changes student's lives and gives them a bigger view of their purpose in life. It is our goal to point them to the Word, and show them their need to depend on it and Christ in every area of their lives. If you want more information about what D-Now is, what to bring, when it's happening, need a form, or anything else, check out the documents below! Schedules & times will be posted soon.

CROSS CAMP (July 20-24, 2020)
Cross Camp is our yearly summer camp done at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat (Laguna Beach is a retreat center located in Panama City Beach, FL) This is going to be an incredible week for students from the West Georgia area to come together and grow deeper in their faith. Here, students will be engaged in Biblical teaching, Christ-centered worship, and intentional small group time. They'll have time to hit the pool, play some volleyball, or chill on the beach. On top of that, everyone will be divided into 4 teams, and students will battle it out all week to see who can be crowned Camp Champ. Cross Camp is going to challenge your student to have a different view of the Cross. The Cross is the most important part of the Christian faith, and we aim to bring that out this week. Check the info sheet below to learn more about the schedule, items to bring, the cost, and more information!
